Juliet has devoted her entire 30-year career to the defense of death penalty cases. She started working as a capital lawyer in 1992 before shifting her focus to capital mitigation. She has worked on over 85 capital cases in 19 states.

Juliet regularly serves as invited faculty at national, state and local seminars regarding best practices in death penalty cases, and also teach for the American Psychological Association on the subject of evaluating intellectual disability in capital cases.

Juliet's mission is to empower mitigation specialists, educate defense teams about the ways in which mitigation can transform their representation and - above all else - Juliet is dedicated to protecting persons with intellectual disability from the death penalty and to help others learn how to detect and advocate for their disabled clients.

Juliet's work has been featured on A&E and Biography and she is recipient of numerous awards.
